Dropping out from college sounds really cool,

But what do you think it’s kick to start your career or,

You are just trying to make yourself fool.

In today’s era dropping out of college has become a trend. There is a different kind of students who have different ways to explore their career.SO, going to college may not be the good or even the best path for everyone, but good decision taker made this decision best for them. In the current situation, many students are inspired by great personalities who are dropouts and carrying their own success stories. These millionaire and billionaire are:

  • Steve Jobs: He officially dropped out after his 1st semester, and later he became the founder of Apple. The worth of Apple is $ 1 Trillion.
  • Michael Dell: Michael Dell drooped out of the University of Texas at Austin his freshman year at the age of 19. He would go on to found Dell technologies and is now worth $20.9 billion.
  • Bill Gates: Bill Gates attended Harvard for two years before leaving to build and had become the founder of Microsoft and worth of Microsoft is $753 billion.
  • Mark Zuckerberg: Mark Zuckerberg dropped out of Harvard, founded Facebook and he is the 5th wealthiest man alive.

WOW! These Ultra-successful legends can inspire anyone with their cool and successful stories, These are just a few examples of legends among the thousands of successful dropouts.

Although College life is a great experience,

some students don’t want to bound themselves in four walls of classrooms.

Umm….where do these students lack and decided to drop out from their college?

Youth has a weapon to bring the change, but they are not able to do so because of lack of motivation and determination to complete the college years.

Now the point is why they lack motivation, and the most common reasons are:

  • Become explorer

Feeling: I want to feel independent

Some students are not satisfied with the theoretical knowledge given in the colleges. Their mentality is quite different. They feel that going to college after completing higher secondary education is wastage of time. They want to explore something out of the box. They drop their college and explore the new ways to run their life.

  • Financial problems

Feeling: I can’t afford to go to college

These days, colleges are pricey! this is the most common reason behind the dropping of any college. As some students are economically not strong and not able to bear their own expenses like college fees, rent of PG, Transport fare etc. Some students also join paid internships/part-time job to bear their expenses but it hinders their academic performance. Basically, students can not able to manage both the things at the same time and decided to drop out from the college.

  • Passion

Feeling: I want to follow my passion

All the students are not excellent in academics, but they may have an interest in other co-curricular activities. They believe that if they will work on their interest it will help them to achieve success, unfortunately they are forced by their families to carry on with their studies but still they go against their families to follow their passion and sometimes they drop their college to give the quality of time to perform best in their interested fields.

Many students have their interest in different

  • Failing in their respective course

Feeling: I’m depressed and demotivated.

Due to poor grades in their academics and continuous failing in a particular subject is the great cause of depression for the students. They have strong feelings about their peers advancing ahead of them, which demotivate. So, usually, students decide to drop out their college and start searching for something else which will provide them with a good living.

  • Work in a family business

Feeling: I’ll carry on my family business

Sometimes students have more interest in their family business so, they don’t see the point of continuing with their studies. They find working in their family business is more useful and benefits in comparison to three to five years course in college.

  • Grab other opportunities

Feeling: wow! I got an another opportunity

Students should not lose hope if they fail in a specific field as students are provided with a variety of opportunities to test their potential and find their interest. These opportunities are like to go for start-ups, Advertising, and modeling industry.

Is dropping out from college really an appropriate decision?

I want to genuinely ask from you guys, do you think rather than working on our weaknesses students are preferring to drop the college is a better option?

I guess no because according to me we have a myth that every dropout would be having a successful story. If we will talk about our ultra-successful legends we will observe that they achieved success not because they are dropouts but because of their determination, potential and passionate attitude towards their aim. It’s just about time management in which the students are lacking and trying to escaping from this weakness with the tag of drop out.

Many friends of mine are also thinking to drop out the college and go for the start-up, but I suggested them that it is not that easy to have a good start, sometimes these start-ups may also show a negative result. Firstly, we should prepare ourselves for every sense of result which can be best and worst.

Secondly, We should gain theoretical knowledge from our college and for practical knowledge, we can apply for short-term internships which will fill our pocket as well as improve your skills.

Although we should be clear and focused about our aim, If there is a genuine need for dropping out the college for the better opportunity then it’s fine, otherwise, theoretical knowledge is equally important and we should not consider it as burden or wastage of time.
